Founded in 1982 by Professors Roger Saint-Alary † and Philippe Malinvaud†, the AFDCI aims to promote the study and advancement of construction law, both as a discipline in its own right and in its relationship with related fields, notably urban planning law and environmental law, at the national, international, and comparative levels.
To this end, it undertakes various activities such as publishing books, journals, and articles, organising congresses and conferences, participating in the preparation and contributing to the interpretation of legislative or regulatory texts related to its objectives, and establishing occasional or formal relationships with similar French or foreign associations.
