The Hudson-formula: death by footnote?

This talk reviews the troubled origins of the Hudson Formula and its demise, considers the consequences of this for tribunals and asks whether claims of this nature might soon by replaced by the NEC or FIDIC’s planned contractual provisions. This talk is based on Dr Ronan Champion’s 1st prize winning entry to the SCL Hudson Prize competition 2020. This lecture will be held at the National Liberal Club and will be simultaneously available as an online webinar.
